A Gorpcore Analysis
We’re observing a softening in the gorpcore sector this year. While isolated sightings of Arc’teryx shells and Salomon XT-6s persist, the trend appears to be losing momentum. Seasonality may offer a short-term rally as temps rise, but fundamentals look shaky.
As such, I’m rotating my portfolio toward vintage outdoor—a space showing promising signals. Early positions in Polo Sportsman, heritage Filson, and fly fishing-adjacent gear (think creel bags and old Orvis) suggest this could be the next bullish cycle. The vibes are analog, the patina is real, and frankly, the upside potential is looking strong.
